COVID-19 POLICY

For the safety of our attendees, the Uptown Swingout
is being held as a vaccine-only, masked-up event.

We are following CDC guidelines regarding in-person attendance.

You must be vaccinated to attend the event. You will be required to show proof of vaccination and acknowledge that you have received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). Additionally, all attendees will be required to wear masks indoors during the event.

Read more about our policy below.

Proof of vaccination

Example of proofs include the following:

1. Official vaccination card

2. Photo of vaccination card

3. Vaccination documentation in official health provider app

All forms of proof of COVID-19 vaccination must have:

1. Personal identifiers (full name plus at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number) that match the personal identifiers on the passenger’s passport or other travel documents

2. Name of official source issuing the record (e.g., public health agency, government agency, or other authorized vaccine provider)

3. Vaccine manufacturer and date(s) of vaccination

Masks for all attendees
  • ALL ATTENDEES will be required to wear an N95 or KN95 mask approved by the CDC (no cloth masks accepted at the Uptown Swingout) at all times except when drinking or eating.

  • INSTRUCTORS AND MUSICIANS will be required to take rapid tests throughout the event (see testing information below) and, having received a negative result, will be able to remove their masks for classes & performances.

    • If you have received the CDC recommended vaccine, which includes both a primary series (of Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson) AND at least one booster, then you will be required to test once every 48 hours.

    • If you received a different WHO-approved vaccine or did not receive a booster, you will be required to test once every day.

We ask that you take reasonable preventative measures, including agreeing to avoid all indoor spaces with other people (other than those you live with) for BOTH the 10 days leading up to the Uptown Swingout and while in Minneapolis during Uptown Swingout. When unavoidable, you acknowledge that you will wear a mask in all of those situations.
