HOW DO I CHOOSE MY LEVEL?
 

Take a look at the level descriptions to see where you think you fit best.

DO I NEED TO ATTEND AUDITIONS?
 

If you would like to be in the Advanced or Masters level you will need to attend auditions at 10:00 am on Saturday. Please DO NOT BE LATE FOR AUDITIONS as we have a limited amount of time to look at a large number of people. We will be handing out wristbands at the end of auditions and we will be checking wristbands during each lesson.

 
WHEN DO I CHECK IN?

Most attendees will be able to check in when they arrive for the dance on FRIDAY NIGHT but you may also check-in BEFORE CLASSES on SATURDAY.

 
WHAT IF I AM WAITLISTED?

If the workshops fill up, there will be a waitlist available for your role & level when you register. Please put yourself on the waitlist and submit your registration and if we have spaces open up, we will move you from the waiting list and your spot in the level for the weekend will be confirmed. If we move you off of the waiting list we will send you an email notifying you. In the case that you are waitlisted and space does not open up, any pre-payment will be completely refunded. You can always check in with us via email if you need more information about your current waitlist status.

DRESS CODE
 

The Friday and Saturday night dances will be relatively dressy affairs. We'll be looking classy but we are happy to have you however you can make it! Sunday's dance right after the workshops will be casual, wear whatever you've got on!

SATURDAY CONTEST
 

Competitors must be signed up and paid for the contest by the end of workshops on Saturday. Prelims will be during the 1st band break and Finals will be to the band at the end of the 2nd set.

 
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

If you cancel your registration the following refund schedule will apply:

Cancellation BEFORE August 1st, 2022: 100% refund

Cancellation August 1st through August 12th: 50% refund

Cancellation AFTER August 12th: No refund

EXCEPTIONS:

In the case that any attendee has COVID symptoms or exposure before the event, they will be offered a full refund (minus PayPal fees) or full credit with their cancellation. Please email us at uptownswinglessons@gmail.com to request a refund or credit. If we do not receive an email before the day of the event and you do not show up, a refund or credit will not be provided. Our goal is your safety and we want everyone to feel encouraged to make the right health choice without any financial concern about refunds.
