Frequently Asked  Questions

At this point, with widespread access to vaccines, more transmissible and less dangerous variants of the virus, and most everybody vaccinated who is interested in being vaccinated, we are relaxing our protocols.

At our 2023 event we will not be requiring any specific vaccination status or masking. Feel very free to mask up if you prefer and, if you feel sick, please don't come and please do get in touch with us.

If you cancel your registration the following refund schedule will apply:

Cancellation BEFORE August 1st, 2023: 100% refund

Cancellation August 1st through August 14th: 50% refund

Cancellation AFTER August 14th: No refund

EXCEPTIONS:

In the case that any attendee has COVID symptoms or exposure before the event, they will be offered a full refund (minus PayPal fees) or full credit with their cancellation. Please email us at info@uptownswingout.com to request a refund or credit. If we do not receive an email before the day of the event and you do not show up, a refund or credit will not be provided. Our goal is your safety and we want everyone to feel encouraged to make the right health choice without any financial concern about refunds.

Take a look at the level descriptions to see where you think you fit best. Remember that we will have dancers from all over the country (& the world) so your local levels may not be the same as the levels for the weekend. If you are unsure of which you should choose, feel free to contact us.

Auditions required for everyone in the Advanced track. Because we've had so many people sign up for Advanced, we will need to move about 30 people to Int/Adv and a few people up to Masters to ensure good levels for the event. Come to auditions at 10:00am sharp in the Cargill stage on Saturday before the workshops begin. Please do not be late!!

Don't worry all hope is not lost! If the workshops fill up in your role & level there will be a waitlist available for your role & level when you register. Please put yourself on the waitlist and submit your registration and as spaces open up, we will move you from the waitlist and your spot in the level for the weekend will be confirmed. If we move you off of the waiting list we will send you an email notifying you. In the case that you are waitlisted and space does not open up, any pre-payment will be refunded down to a dance pass. You can always check in with us via email if you need more information about your current waitlist status.

We are not offering housing this year as demand has been dropping but that does not mean that you can't find a cheap place to stay for the weekend. Airbnb in the surrounding neighborhood is a great option and if you are looking for hotels, here are the closest affordable options:
